A Gardening + Cooking School for Fowlmead Country Park, Kent

 

A landscape design project for an environmentally friendly gardening and cooking school in Fowlmead. The existing site consists almost entirely of shale mine waste yet was once a beautiful rich salt marsh. It was a habitat for nature and a natural sea deffence for humans. The concept of the project was to both symbolically and literally bring the salt marsh and all the nature it contained, back over the site.
